== Distribution ==
There is a high concentration of ''Hyphaene compressa'' along the coasts of Northern East Africa, particularly Kenya and Tanzania. Additional countries with a high distribution of ''Hyphaene compressa'' include Somalia, Madagascar and Ethiopia.
